We are looking for a Senior Hydraulic Engineer to be hired on a permanent contract with one of our clients, an innovative Start-Up in the chemical-engineering sector. Our client specializes in renewable energy and, in particular, in the research, development and prototyping of new green batteries and long-duration energy storage systems.
The role:
- Design hydraulic system architecture: pump sizing/selection, manifolds, flow distribution, pressure management, filtration, venting/degassing concepts.
- Develop piping layouts and define standards for routing, supports, accessibility, and service ability within a container.
- Define instrumentation strategy: pressure/flow/temperature sensing, control valves, safety relief devices, and interlocks.
- Build hydraulic loss models (Δp), NPSH/cavitation risk checks, transient behavior considerations.
- Run and interpret CFD and/or hydraulic network simulations to optimize flow uniformity and efficiency.
- Write component specifications and acceptance criteria; support supplier technical alignment.
- Support commissioning and troubleshooting on pilot systems and containers.
- Draft procedures, reports and technical documentation in general.
