Ingenn® has been entrusted with the search for an Optical / Photonics Engineer for a deep-tech company focused on the development of advanced lighting systems based on complex optical architectures.
The company designs high-performance solutions that replicate natural light conditions through the combination of optics, materials engineering and advanced simulation, with applications in architectural environments and human-centric lighting.
The selected candidate will play a key role in the development of optical systems, contributing directly to product innovation and the evolution of proprietary technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise with a "hands-on" approach the development of the project's optical architecture, personally designing complex systems using advanced ray tracing techniques, wave optics, caustics and scattering
- Conduct technology scouting activities to identify existing solutions in other sectors, evaluate their applicability to our client's devices and minimize technological gaps
- Analyze the patent landscape, identify opportunities for new intellectual properties and interact with licensors when necessary
- Interface with industrial partners and suppliers in order to transform "on paper" projects into actually producible systems and components
- Supervise junior optical engineers - if appropriate, ensuring methodological consistency and alignment between numerical simulations and experimental results
